The Team

Ann Hannigan

Ann manages the small business sector in our Buckingham Office. She trained with one of the Big 4 and has worked in a number of accountancy practices in previous years. Ann qualified as a Certified Accountant with us in June 2006 and now has a significant amount of experience including financial year end accounts, audit, personal and corporate tax. She specialises in providing accounts, year end and business taxation services to small businesses as well as being our training and personnel development manager.
 

Chris Munro

Chris is our practice business manager, having responsibility for the smooth running of all the Clark Howes offices. She joined us after many years in a senior position in a local practice. With her broad knowledge of small firms’ accounting and business needs she is well placed to manage our large portfolio of owner-managed businesses in our Bicester office in addition to covering personal and corporate tax work. Chris also has overall responsibility for the small business teams throughout all our offices.
 

Diane Prestland

Diane joined us from the commercial world having worked in a variety of financial roles in different businesses over a number of years. She began her career in Barclays Bank and now brings this considerable expertise and knowledge into her role as department head of our outsourcing team. Diane is responsible for all international sales and development activities and works closely with both local and overseas owner/managed clients. This role also involves marketing, customer relations and the development of this significant business area.
 

Edward Porter

Edward is our Audit Director responsible for the management and development of this business segment, M & A and corporate services. A Chartered Accountant he began his career in the City working extensively with international groups and listed plc’s. He was responsible for advising on International Accounting Standards, compliance with UK and US GAAP and assisting companies with the listing process. He then spent two years as a senior manager in the largest independent practice in the Thames Valley with a client portfolio ranging from owner-managed businesses to international groups. He also has experience of corporate finance in sales and acquisitions.
 

Mini de Silva

Mini specialises in providing need-specific operational and management assistance to our European and International clients. Mini has been UK and International Controller for various quoted company's predominantly in the IT industry. An MBA and Chartered Management Accountant with her high-level experience she assists in implementing strategic and operational solutions to companies establishing a UK or European presence and has the ability to provide short-term management consultancy services or assistance with the recruitment of senior finance managers or controllers.
 

Rodger French

Rodger's route into practice differs to many of his contemporaries as he spent 20 years working in international corporate life at (so he says) “the sharp end” before his current partner’s role. A Certified Accountant, Rodger qualified whilst serving in senior financial roles with Unisys before moving as UK Financial Director for one of Europe's largest quoted IT distributors. After taking an IT-systems business through a management buy out then selling into US ownership and a further four years with Misys plc, in 1998 he exchanged corporate life to join Clark Howes. Now he focuses on our own growth, development and business-to-business philosophy as well as an idiosyncratic client base.
 

The Support Teams

We believe it’s vital to provide the necessary experienced, qualified and specialist expertise to every client whatever their size and, where required, a direct relationship to suit your personal needs. The support teams are all part-qualified accountants, Accounts Technicians or have a breadth of business and accounts experience. Together they assist in solving your business, accounting, tax or payroll problems as they are well used to dealing with “real” business problems. We encourage all staff to continue formal education in specialist and new technical areas as well as providing local youngsters with work experience placements.
